Day 1: Vientiane / Arrival

Arrival in Vientiane. We welcome you at airport and transfer you to hotel. Rest of the day is your leisure time.
Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 2: Vientiane / City tour

Vientiane city tour. Visit the major sights including the oldest Wat Sisaket, the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo. Stop at the imposing Patuxay Monument then visit That Luang Stupa. Afternoon, continue to the rest of Vientiane including Wat Ong Tue, Wat Inpeng and Wat Haisok. Proceed to Vientiane Central Market. Late afternoon, observe sunset by Mekong river.
Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 3: Sala Hinboun / Countryside

Early morning, leave Vientiane and southwards to visit the famous Konglor Cave. Proceed to the famous limestone forest of Phou Hinboun and the cave that own the flow of the river Hinboun. After exploring the cave, make our way to hotel in Sala Hinboun.
Overnight in Sala Hinboun.

Day 4: Pakse / Journey to the South

After breakfast at hotel, we make a journey from Sala Hinboun to Pakse. Stop on the way for lunch at a local restaurant in That Hing Hang. Upon arrival in Pakse, check-in at hotel. Rest of the day is your leisure time in Pakse.
Overnight in Pakse.

Day 5: Champasak / Sightseeing

Morning, drive out on the Bolaven Plateau, passing numerous tea and coffee plantations. See the breathtaking Tad Fane and Tad Nguing waterfalls. Relaxation and lunch.
After lunch, visit the local market at Paksong and Jhai’s Coffee and make our way back to Tad Phaseum waterfall to visit some ethnic minorities. Proceed to Champasak.

Day 6: Don Khone / Elephant ride & local life

Early morning, visit Wat Phou, a Khmer temple ruins. We then driver to Ban Kiet Ngong for an elephant trek to the mysterious area of Xe Pian National Protected Area. Lunch at Kingfisher Eco-lodge. After lunch, continue to Don Khong Island, see local work. Head to Ban Nakasang and take a long-tail boat to Don Khone. Enjoy sunset along the Mekong.

Day 7: Don Khone / Surrounding

Today, we spend a relaxed day. Cycle to the old French wharf and along the old French railway line to Liphi falls. Lunch at Seng Aloun Riverside Restaurant. Late in the afternoon, continue cycle to Don Det. Stop for a cool drink (optional tubing the Mekong), back to Don Khone.

Day 8: Pakse / Way back to Parkse

Morning, take a boat downstream to see the freshwater Irrawaddy Dolphin. After spending a relaxing hour, watching and photographing the dolphins, Visit Lao-Cambodian border to see the biggest waterfall in South East Asia, Khone Phapheng waterfall. Lunch at the falls before return to Pakse.
Overnight in Pakse.

Day 9: Vientiane / Fly to Vientiane

Morning, enjoy your breakfast in Pakse. Spend your leisure time until we transfer you to airport for flight to Vientiane.
Arrival in Vientiane at noon. We transfer you to hotel for check-in. Your own time in Vientiane in the afternoon.
Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 10: Vang Vieng / Way to Vang Vieng

Morning, visit Lao – Thai Friendship Bridge and the Buddha Park, a display of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures located by the Mekong River. After that, transfer straight to Vang Vieng. Upon arrival, check-in at hotel. At sunset, enjoy a BBQ dinner on riverside.
Overnight in Vang Vieng.

Day 11: Vang Vieng / Pristine landscape

Morning, travel 14 km to the north of Vang Vieng. Visit 3 beautiful and famous caves including Tham Xang (Elephant Cave), Tham Hoi cave (Snail cave) and Tham Loup (Deep cave). After a picnic lunch, trek to the Hmong village of Phathao, passes through rice paddy fields and vegetable gardens. Kayak on Nam Song river back to the town.
Overnight in Vang Vieng.

Day 12: Phonsavan / Visit “Plain of Jars”

After breakfast, transfer from Vang Vieng to Phonsavan. Lunch on the way. Upon arrival in Phonsavan, check-in at hotel. After a refreshment, visit the Plain of jars Site No. 1, just 6 km away from Phonsavan town. Enjoy scenery of sunset above the hundreds of jars. The mysterious archaeological site is discovered by UNESCO and are planned to establish it as a World Heritage site.
Overnight in Phonsavan.

Day 13: Phonsavan / Explore more

Morning, visit the Plain of jars site No. 2. If time allows, we visit the Plain of Jars site No.3. After lunch at a local restaurant, proceed to Mouang Khoune, the former capital city of Xieng Khouang, heavily destroyed by American bombers during War. Make some visits to minority villages of hill tribes. Return to the city.
Overnight in Phonsavan.

Day 14: Luang Prabang / Way to Luang Prabang

Breakfast at hotel. Our driver picks you up at hotel and transfer to Luang Prabang. The transfer may take up to 6 hours. Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, enjoy your leisure time in the city.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 15: Luang Prabang / City tour

Morning, visit famous places in the city. Visit the Museum in the former Royal Palace where you get a sense of local history. Continue our visit to Vat Xieng Thong, Vat Saen and Vat Vixoun. After lunch, visit the nearby traditional Tai Lue weaving village Ban Phanom and The very scenic Tad Sae Waterfall. Climbing the stairs up to the Phou Si mountain for the sunset scenery of Luang Prabang.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 16: Luang Prabang / Mekong river sightseeing

Take boat trip on Mekong river, visit very famous Pak Ou Buddha Caves which sit amongst the limestone cliffs where the Mekong and Nam Ou rivers meet. Visit village of Ban Xang Hai which has for centuries made the clay jars which are used to ferment Lao wine.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 17: Luang Prabang / Surrounding

This morning, you get in-depth and hands-on learning experience during which you may participate in the 14 steps of the rice cycle on the Living Lands community farm. You will see and learn about bamboo weaving, tool and trap making, gardening and even blacksmithing. Afternoon, head out to the Kuang Si Waterfall. Relax and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. Back to the city.

Day 18: Luang Prabang / More to see

Morning, transfer you to the Elephant Village, located 15 km out of Luang Prabang, surrounded by mountains. Take a ride on back of an elephant. Ride through small forests and Nam Khan River. Get on boat to visit Tad Sae waterfalls. Take relaxation. A Lao style lunch either on the magnificent waterfalls or on the mountain view veranda of the Elephant Village. We then trek to a Khmu hill tribe village. Return city.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 19: Luang Prabang / Departure

Morning, enjoy breakfast at hotel.
Relax until we transfer you to airport for your departure flight.
