Booking & confirmation
Upon receipt of your enquiry or booking request, we will check availability and confirm the details and price with you. Your booking is considered confirmed once you acknowledge the quote and the deposit is received.
Deposit & payment
All trips require a deposit of 30% to 50% of the total amount; the deposit confirms your booking. The balance and its due date are set out in your quote and invoice. Tour prices are per person, based in USD, and shown on the website in your selected currency.
Cancellations
We do not charge any cancellation fee of our own — you only ever pay the costs our suppliers actually charge us. All cancellations must be made in writing, by email.
Land arrangements (hotels, cruises, transfers, guides and activities): cancellation is free of charge up to 30 days before your departure date. Inside 30 days, any charges applied by hotels, cruise operators or other contractors are passed on to you at cost — these vary by service, season and notice given, and we will send you the exact breakdown at the time of cancellation.
Flight-inclusive packages: once air tickets have been issued, the airline’s own fare rules apply — issued tickets are often non-refundable or carry airline change fees that are outside our control. Any refund the airline grants is passed back to you in full.
Refunds
Refunds for unused services and timely cancellations are made as agreed between you and Unique Tours, to your original payment method where possible. We do not charge for our own work in processing a refund; bank or transfer fees, where applicable, are for your account.
Changes to your booking
Because our tours depart daily, changing your travel dates is usually straightforward before services are confirmed and tickets are issued — just contact your consultant. After ticketing, date changes on flight-inclusive packages follow the airline’s fare rules. If local conditions, airline schedules or other events beyond our control force a change to your itinerary, we will substitute a suitable arrangement of similar value.
Tour cost
What is included and excluded is listed on each tour’s page. Unless indicated otherwise, the tour price includes accommodation in double/twin occupancy, meals as listed in the itinerary, transportation during the tour, entrance fees, and the services of an English-speaking local guide. Tours in our For Australia, For America, For Canada and For United Kingdom collections also include round-trip international flights; on all other tours, international flights are not included while internal flights within the itinerary are.
Children policy
Tour prices for children, applied to the land portion of the trip:
- Infants under 2: free of charge
- Children from 2 to 11 years old: 75% of the adult price
- From 12 years old: charged as adults
On flight-inclusive packages, airfares follow the airlines’ own rules: children aged 2 and above pay the full seat fare, and infants under 2 travelling on a parent’s lap are charged approximately 10% of the adult fare. Your consultant will confirm the exact family price with your quote.
Travel insurance
Travel insurance is not included in our tour prices. All travellers are required to have comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical treatment, emergency evacuation and personal belongings, arranged in your home country before departure.
Passports & visas
Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your date of entry. Obtaining the correct visas is the traveller’s responsibility, but we are glad to assist — tell us your nationality and travel dates and our consultants will guide you through the requirements and paperwork.
Travel documents
Once your trip is confirmed and payment completed, Unique Tours issues your service voucher and travel documents by email.
Liability
No refunds or exchanges can be made for accommodation, meals, sightseeing, transport or other services that are included in the tour price but not used by the tour member. Unique Tours is not responsible for loss, injury or damage sustained by passengers, and additional expenses arising from delays, accidents, inclement weather, political restrictions or other causes beyond our control are borne by the traveller — this is precisely what travel insurance is for. Airline schedules, train timetables and local conditions may affect accommodation and itineraries; should this occur, Unique Tours will endeavour to substitute a suitable arrangement of similar value.
Complaints
If anything is not right during your trip, tell your guide or consultant straight away so we can fix it on the spot — that is almost always the fastest route. For anything involving third-party suppliers such as airlines, trains, boats or hotels, Unique Tours acts as intermediary between you and the supplier to resolve the matter. You can always reach us at info@uniquetours.com or on WhatsApp.
