Change your cookie settings

Cookies we set to make the site work

These are necessary for the website to function. They cannot be switched off, and we do not ask for consent to use them.

Cookie Purpose Expires
ut_consent Remembers the cookie choice you made on this page or in the banner, so we do not ask again on every visit. 6 months

Analytics cookies

These tell us how many people visit, which tours they read about, and where they leave. We use them to decide what to write and what to fix. They are only set if you allow them.

_ga Google Analytics Tells returning visits apart from new ones. 2 years
_ga_5ZRB7FVV56 Google Analytics Keeps the state of your current visit. 2 years
_gid Google Analytics Distinguishes visitors within a day. 24 hours

Advertising cookies

These let us see which advertisement led to an enquiry, so we do not keep paying for adverts that bring nobody. They are only set if you allow them.

Cookie Set by Purpose Expires
_gcl_au Google Ads Records that you arrived from one of our adverts, so a later enquiry can be credited to it. 90 days
sbjs_current, sbjs_first, sbjs_session, sbjs_udata and related This website Records which search, advert or link brought you here, so we know which channels produce bookings. Session

Choosing what we may use

Refusing analytics and advertising cookies does not limit anything on this site: every tour, price and enquiry form works the same either way.

If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, nothing beyond the necessary cookies is set until you say yes. In some other countries analytics and advertising cookies are on unless you turn them off — you can do that at any time with the link at the top of this page, and we will remember it.

You can also delete cookies through your browser settings. Because our record of your choice is itself a cookie, clearing everything means we will ask you again on your next visit.

Sharing with Google

Google Analytics and Google Ads are provided by Google. Where you allow those cookies, information about your visit is processed by Google under their privacy policy. Where you do not, we instruct Google not to use cookies or advertising identifiers for you.

Contact

If you want to know what we hold about you, or you want it deleted, write to us and we will answer within one month.
