Day 1: Vientiane / Arrival

Arrival in Vientiane. We welcome you at airport and transfer you to hotel. Rest of the day is your leisure time.
Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 2: Vientiane / City tour

Vientiane city tour. Visit the major sights including the oldest Wat Sisaket, the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo. Stop at the imposing Patuxay Monument then visit That Luang Stupa. Afternoon, continue to the rest of Vientiane including Wat Ong Tue, Wat Inpeng and Wat Haisok. Proceed to Vientiane Central Market. Late afternoon, observe sunset by Mekong river.

Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 3: Vientiane → Luang Prabang

Morning, visit Lao – Thai Friendship Bridge and the Buddha Park, a display of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures located by the Mekong River. After that, transfer straight to airport for flight to Luang Prabang. Spend your leisure time in the city.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 4: Luang Prabang: city tour

Morning, visit famous places in the city. Visit the Museum in the former Royal Palace where you get a sense of local history. Continue our visit to Vat Xieng Thong, Vat Saen and Vat Vixoun. After lunch, visit the nearby traditional Tai Lue weaving village Ban Phanom and The very scenic Tad Sae Waterfall. Climbing the stairs up to the Phou Si mountain for the sunset scenery of Luang Prabang.

Day 5: Luang Prabang: Mekong river sightseeing

Take boat trip on Mekong river, visit very famous Pak Ou Buddha Caves which sit amongst the limestone cliffs where the Mekong and Nam Ou rivers meet. Visit village of Ban Xang Hai which has for centuries made the clay jars which are used to ferment Lao wine.

Day 6: Luang Prabang: Surrounding

This morning, you get in-depth and hands-on learning experience during which you may participate in the 14 steps of the rice cycle on the Living Lands community farm. You will see and learn about bamboo weaving, tool and trap making, gardening and even blacksmithing. Afternoon, head out to the Kuang Si Waterfall. Relax and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. Back to the city.

Day 7: Luang Prabang: Departure

Morning, enjoy breakfast at hotel and relax until we transfer you to airport for your departure flight.

Day 1: Vientiane – arrival.

Welcome to Vientiane. Upon arrival, meet our guide at the airport and get transferred to hotel. Rest of the day is your leisure time in Vientiane.

Day 2: Vientiane – City tour (B,L)

After breakfast Enjoy a city tour to Wat Sisaket with its thousands of miniature Buddha statues. Visit Wat Simuang, one of Vientiane’s most popular sites of worshi. Proceed the tour at Wat Ho Prakeo, which was the original home of the famous Emerald Buddha, which today lives in Bangkok.

There are many excellent restaurants in Vientiane, and you will easily find something to suit your taste. Enjoy the lunch!

After lunch, visit the huge golden That Luang monument, where all Lao citizen respect as holy pagoda. Visit Vientiane’s own Victory Monument, which looks like the Arc de Triumphe. This was built at the end of the Indochina wars with money rumored to be American, and earmarked for the airport’s new runway. Thus the departing Americans dubbed this monument the vertical runway! Have a look at the lovely arches inside the monument.

Enjoy a spectacular view over the Mekong River at sunset is a perfect way to finish the day.

Day 3: Vientiane – Luang Prabang (B,L)

Morning, visit Lao – Thai Friendship Bridge. It is a bridge over the Mekong, connecting Nong Khai province and the city of Nong Khai in Thailand with Vientiane Prefecture in Laos. Then proceed to Buddha Park, a display of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures located by the Mekong River.

Back to the city. Afternoon, transfer straight to airport for flight to Luang Prabang. Spend your leisure time in the city.

Day 4: Luang Prabang – City tour (B,L)

Welcome to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival in Luangsay pier, meet your guide transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Luang Prabang. After a short break we start visit the majors sites included National museum, we visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine ofWat Mai; visit Wat Xieng Thong.

We then climb up to the top of Phousi Mount for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. From there, we explore Street Night Market, where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textile by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang.

Stay overnight at hotel in Luang Prabang.

Day 5: Luang Prabang – Mekong river – Pak Ou Caves (B,L)

After breakfast, we enjoy a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the distillation of local rice wine.

On return, we take a short drive to Ban Xang Khong, well known for its hand weaving.

Day 6: Luang Prabang – Elephant Village – Kuang Si Waterfalls (B,L)

Morning, our guide will take you to Elephant Village. On arrival at the camp, you can stroll around to make friends with some very big elephants before enjoying the elephant riding in about 30 minute to the nearby jungle.

We then transfer to Kuang Si Waterfalls where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools or walk along the forest trails. On the way back to the town, we take a short visit to the tomb of the 19th century French explorer Henri Mouhot; the first European to rediscover Angkor Wat and to visit the Royal Kingdom of Luang Prabang. Before coming back to Luang Prabang, we stop to visit the Kuang Si Falls Butterfly Park, one of the must-visit spots, newly opened on January 2014. We will also stop to visit local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, a Hmong village, Ban Ou a Laoloum village and Ban Thapene, Khmu villages.

Arriving in Luang Prabang, we transfer to Wat Siphouthabath to admire the sunset.

Day 7: Luang Prabang – Departure (B,L)

Enjoy breakfast at hotel. Spend your leisure time in Luang Prabang until we transfer you to airport for your departure flight.
