Morning, we leave Vientiane and head to Vang Vieng. We stop at a Hmong Village, visit an archaeological site of Vang Xang, where you can admire one of the country’s oldest Buddha statues, dating back to the 11th century. We continue driving and visit Ban Houy Mo, a fishing village oh the way. Arrival in Vang Vieng, check-in at hotel. Enjoy lunch.
After that, we visit the cave of Tham Jang, which was used in the early 19th century in defense against the Chinese invaders. The limestone cliffs and valleys surrounding the resort complex of Vang Vieng are home to numerous caves and caverns. The most famous in Vang Vieng is the cave of Tham Jang, which was used in the early 19th century in defense against the Chinese invaders.
We also cross the river to Ban Huai Ngae, a very pleasant village where we can explore the different local lifestyles.
Late afternoon, we will board on a leisurely long-tail boat along the Nam Song River to admire the sunset.
