The beginning

Day 1. Hanoi (arrival)
Arrival in Hanoi. We welcome and transfer you to hotel. Rest of the day is your leisure time to explore the city on your own.

Day 2. Hanoi → Mai Chau
Morning, transfer to Mai Chau. Upon arrival in Mai Chau, enjoy a traditional lunch.
After lunch, visit Mai Chau Valley, biking for sightseeing and visit nearby villages in Mai Chau. Visit Thai living museum for Traditional BBQ dinner, watch Thai traditional dance.

Day 3. Mai Chau → Hanoi
Walk to Mai Chau market, meet the local people and see them trading their handmade products in the market. We then steps up to 1000-step-cave to explore the cave.
After lunch at a local restaurant, your leisure time until we transfer you back to Hanoi.

Day 4. Hanoi → Halong bay
Morning, enjoy breakfast at hotel and depart for Halong Bay at approximately 8:00am.
Upon arrival in Halong Bay, we will board the vessel and partake in a delectable lunch. During the meal, we will cruise through thousands of stunning islands and islets. Following lunch, you may freshen up in your room before embarking on a visit to the Surprising Cave, kayaking, swimming, and other activities. Later, return to the vessel, get a drink and enjoy the picturesque sunset scenery in the bay. Halong photo.

Day 5. Halong bay → Hanoi
In the morning, breakfast will be served on board. We will then proceed to cruise to a Pearl Farm village and continue exploring the enchanting Halong Bay, navigating through numerous captivating islands and islets.
During lunch on board, we will make our way back to the pier before transferring back to Hanoi.

Day 6. Hanoi → Hoi An
Explore the Temple of Literature, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and discover the rich history of Vietnam's first university. Walk around the picturesque Hoan Kiem Lake, and visit the Ngoc Son Temple, perched on an island in the lake. Continue your exploration at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, which showcases the diverse ethnic groups of Vietnam through fascinating exhibits and artifacts.
After that, we transfer you to airport for flight to Da Nang. Once arrived in Da Nang airport, you’ll be taken to Hoi An hotel for your stay.

Day 7. Hoi An (visit My Son Sanctuary)
Morning breakfast at hotel. Today, we start the tour by visiting My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Afternoon, visit Hoi An town on foot: Hoi An’s Colorful Local Market, Old House of Tan Ky, Fu Jian Assembly Hall, and the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge.

Afternoon, we transfer you Da Nang. Rest of the day is your leisure time at beach in Da Nang.
Da Nang, one of the most popular destinations in Vietnam, is a vibrant coastal city in central Vietnam, known for its beautiful beaches, historical landmarks, delicious local cuisine, and friendly locals. The coastal area offers breathtaking views, beautiful landscapes and stunning beaches, which can be explored by bike or on foot.

Day 13. Hue (city tour)
Your breakfast at hotel. Start a city tour in Hue.
Get a boat trip to Thien Mu Pagoda. We then continue our visit at the Citadel & Hue Royal Antiques museum. Visit Dong Ba Market and have lunch at a nearby restaurant. After lunch, visit tomb of King “Minh Mang” and Tomb of King “Khai Dinh”. Proceed our tour at a nearby village where people making incense stick and conical hat.

Day 14. Hue → Ho Chi Minh
Morning, breakfast at hotel in Hue. Your leisure in Hue until we transfer you to airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh.
Rest of the day is your leisure time to discover the city on your own.

Day 15. Ho Chi Minh (explore Cu Chi)
Morning, we explore the Re-Unification Palace, which was the home and workplace of the president of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War, and played a pivotal role in the war's end. Visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, a stunning example of French colonial architecture, and learn about its unique history. Continue your tour at the War Remnants Museum, which provides a thought-provoking look into the harsh realities of the Vietnam War.
Afternoon, we leave the city and drive 60km to Cu Chi, where you can delve into the intricate system of tunnels and explore the Cu Chi Tunnel, an impressive feat of engineering that played a significant role in the Vietnam War. Afterwards, enjoy tea, cassava (guerrilla's food during the war). Once the tour is complete, we will make our way back to the city.

Day 16: Ho Chi Minh → Mekong Delta
Following breakfast at the hotel, we will depart from Ho Chi Minh and head towards Ben Tre. Our journey will include a boat trip along the Mekong River, during which we will visit a family-run business that exemplifies the idyllic rural lifestyle. We will also have the opportunity to stroll through the fruit plantation village.

Day 17: Mekong Delta → Ho Chi Minh
Around 6.30am, we pick you up to visit the Cai Rang floating market which is wholesale market of fruit and vegetable at its busiest at this time of the day. Keep cruising through the small channels system and visit a rice noodle making village. Experience the “Monkey Bridge” in the Delta.
Break for lunch then return to Ho Chi Minh.

Day 18: Ho Chi Minh → Vientiane
Morning, enjoy breakfast at hotel. Spend your leisure time in the city. You can walk for shopping or just take a coffee for relaxing time.
Afternoon, our driver transfers you to airport for flight to Vientiane. Arrival at Vientiane, you will be taken to hotel for your stay.

Day 19: Vientiane (city tour)
In the morning, visit Wat Si Muang, known for its supernatural power, followed by a 45-minute drive to Buddha Park, home to over 200 Buddhist and Hindu statues. Returning to town, explore COPE, an organization supporting landmine victims, where you’ll learn about the Vietnam War’s lingering effects. In the afternoon, visit That Luang, Laos’ holiest site, before enjoying panoramic city views from Patuxai. Continue to Wat Sisaket, the only temple that survived the 1828 Siamese invasion, and nearby Wat Phra Keo, now a religious museum. End the day with a sunset stroll along the Mekong River, sampling local snacks and drinks.

Day 20: Vientiane → Ban Thaheua
You have ample time to relax and stroll around the town of Vientiane before leaving the capital early for our journey northbound to Ban Thaheua via the highway Vientiane – Vang vieng.
We will see some breathtaking scenery enroute as we pass through spectacular countryside towards the mountainous region.
We will arrive in Ban Thaheua around noon, which locates at the north side of Nam Ngum Lake, the “sea of Laos”.
We will check in the bungalow overlooking the lake. Leisure time for the rest of the day to relax or stroll around for your own exploration.

Day 21: Ban Thaheua → Vang Vieng
After breakfast, Embark on a journey from the Resort, passing by the local primary school with opportunities to visit children on school days. Explore Tha Heua local market and the village temple, immersing yourself in the local culture. Observe the vibrant displays at the town’s fish stalls and make a noteworthy stop at the renowned dry fish market, a must-visit for local travelers in the region. Take a break in Houy Pa Mom village for a coffee/tea session in a local home, appreciating the art of hand weaving. Continue with a visit to a Hmong village nestled along the banks of the Nam Ngum lake. Conclude the excursion with a scenic cycle ride back to the Sanctuary Nam Ngum Beach Resort.
In the afternoon, transfer to Vang Vieng. You are free for the rest of the day.

Day 22: Vang Vieng → Luang Prabang
We will take the morning train to Luang Prabang, which takes about 1 hour. After that, our guide will take you on an in-depth walking tour of the city. The walk is oriented towards the lesser-known parts of the town including charming lanes showing the more traditional atmosphere of the heritage town. Along the way, we will see the four different types of buildings categorized by UNESCO.
The first one is the traditional Lao house which is made from tropical hardwood or bamboo and built on stilts. The second is a half wood and half cement house built after the arrival of the French. The third is the traditional French colonial building that are similar to those found in Vietnam and Cambodia. The last form of architecture you will see is the old Chinese shop houses that were built to be used for both commercial and residential purposes.

Day 23: Luang Prabang (city tour & surroundings)
At sunrise, participate in Laos’ sacred alms-giving tradition, where over 200 monks collect their daily meal from locals. Afterward, explore the morning market near the former Royal Palace, offering a glimpse into local life, before visiting the Royal Palace Museum. Enjoy a leisurely cruise along the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Caves, filled with thousands of Buddha statues, stopping at Ban Xanghai village for local rice wine. Back in town, visit Wat Sene, Wat Xiengthong, and the Heuan Chan mansion to immerse in Lao culture. End the day with a sunset at Wat Prabath and a visit to the vibrant Night Market.
Optional: If you are fond of various ethnic cultures, you can visit Traditional Art and Ethnology Center (closed on Monday).

Day 24: Luang Prabang (visit the surroundings)
Start your day with a visit to a community-based rice farm near Luang Prabang, where you can participate in farming activities or observe from a traditional Lao rice house. Explore local artisan workshops, from bamboo weaving to blacksmithing, and learn about traditional Laotian medicine through an organic garden tour.
In the afternoon, visit the stunning Kuang Si waterfalls, perfect for swimming, and the nearby Bear Rescue Center. Finally, stop at the Ock Pop Tock Living Craft Center, where artisans create beautiful fabrics, before returning to your hotel in Luang Prabang.

Day 26: Siem Reap (Explore the Angkor)
In the morning, you will visit Angkor Thom, the ancient capital of the Khmer empire. Then, you will continue your visit to Ta Prohm, a stunning temple complex with trees and vegetation growing around and through its structures. Lunch will be at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will visit Angkor Wat, the most famous of all the temples in Angkor. Angkor Wat is a massive temple complex and is one of the largest religious monuments in the world.
In the evening, enjoy buffet dinner and watch Khmer Traditional Dance Show at a local restaurant.

Day 27: Siem Reap (surrounding sacred marvels)
We depart the city at 8:00am and head to Koh Ker, which takes about 1.5 hours. Upon arrival, we will venture into the deserted ruins and surrounding forest and explore the Koh Ker temple complex, the former capital of the Angkorian empire during the years AD 928 to AD 944.
10.30am, we drive back to Siem Reap. On the way back, we stop at two famous temples: Prasat Neang Khmaw & Prasat Pram. Lunch at a local restaurant near Beng Mealea temple.
1.30pm, we visit Beng Mealea temple. Enjoy a short walk through the dense jungle and discover the wonders of an overgrown temple, Beng Mealea, which lay undiscovered for centuries. We proceed to the last one that we visit today, Banteay Srey, the “gem” of the Angkor area.

Day 28: Siem Reap → Phnom Penh
Morning, breakfast at hotel. Rest of the day is your leisure time to explore Siem Reap on your own until we transfer you to airport for your departure flight. (B)Day 29: Phnom Penh (city tour)
Morning, visit the notorious Choeung Ek Killing Fields & Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21 prison) which serve as a testament to the crimes of the Khmer Rouge (From 1975–1979. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, take some minutes at Independent Monument for photo taking. After that, visit the opulent Royal Place, home to Cambodia’s Royal family, and its Silver Pagoda. Continue your visit at The National Museum with its superb collection of Khmer art. The last place to visit today is Wat Phnome, the most famous buddhist temple in Phnom Penh.
